Use Unigram in a more comfortable and productive way. This addon provides many hotkeys for a quick and comfortable use of Unigram and makes a lot of small improvements.

Some of the major improvements are:

• Adds significant improvement in displaying such posts as a poll, a link or a post with attached media.
• When the cursor focuses on the list of chats such information as "Chats, tab, selected list" is not announced and when the cursor is in the list of messages you will not hear the word "List".
• When focused on the Open File button or Download File button the name and size of the file will be spoken, and when focused on the Play button on an audio file you will hear its name and duration.
• When focused on a voice message that is currently playing you will hear first it's playback time and then the rest of the relevant information.
• When focus hits a message that contains information about a call, the duration of that call is announced.
• When focused on a selected message in a chat you will hear first the information that it is selected and than the contents of the message.
• Now while moving through a list of messages in a chat you won't hear the word "Seen" at all, but the word "Not seen" will be spoken before reading out the message itself. Currently this feature works only in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Portuguese, Croatian, Turkish and Persian.
• The recording voice messages feature has been significantly modernized. Recording, sending voice message and recording cancellation are accompanied by distinctive sounds. Furthermore, while these functions are performed the focus stays in the same position and doesn't jump to the Record button nor to the edit field.
• Added the ability to track chat activity. This function is activated by double-pressing the "ALT+T"combination.
• If media files attached to a message are opened by pressing space bar after closing them the cursor returns to where it was previously.
• It is possible to disable the sound of All Performance Indicators, or only indicators of the progress of playback of voice messages.

Hotkey list:

• ALT+1 - Move focus to chat list.
• ALT+2 - Move focus to the last message in the chat.
• ALT+3 - Move focus to 'unread messages' label.
• ALT+D - Move focus to the edit field. If focus is already in the edit field, after pressing the hotkeys it will move to where it was previously.
• ALT+T - ALT+T - Read profile name and status in a public chat. Press twice to switch between "Turn on tracking chat activity until closing of the app", "Turn tracking chat activity on" and "Turn tracking chat activity off".
• space - Play/Stop voice or video message in focus or open media attached to the current message.
• ALT+P - Play/pause the voice message that is currently playing.
• ALT+S - Increase/decrease voice message playback speed.
• ALT+E - Close audio player.
• control+C - Copy message if it contains text.
• ALT+shift+C - Press call button.
• ALT+shift+V - Press video call button.
• ALT+Y - Accept call
• ALT+N - Press "Decline call" button if there is an incoming call, "End call" button if a call is in progress or leave voice chat if it is active.
• ALT+A - Press "Enable/disable microphone" button.
• ALT+V - Press "Enable/disable camera" button.
• ALT+Q - Press "Instant view" button, if it is contained in the current message.
• ALT+O - Press "More Options" button in an open chat, voice chat, or call window.
• ALT+M - Open navigation menu.
• control+R - Start recording voice message / send voice message.
• control+D - Cancel recording of voice message. Double-tap changes the notification type when you start recording, send, or cancel recording voice message.
• ALT+U - Toggle progress bar announcements.
• control+P - Open current chat profile.
• delete - Delete message or chat.
• shift+delete - Delete message or chat on both sides.
• control+shift+C - Open comments.

Note

All hotkeys can be reassigned in NVDA menu>preferences>input gestures.
The fact that the feature that focuses the cursor on the unread message label can sometimes respond with a delay is a known issue. This may depend on the amount of messages in cash at the moment

Version 2.5.0

• There is now a checkbox which, if checked, fixes the issue with recording voice messages experienced by some users.
• Added a hotkey for replying to a message. You can do it by pressing Enter on the message or you can reassign the alternative hotkeys for this feature to something else.
• Added hotkeys for editing a message. The default key combination is ALT+Backspace.

• Now, when focusing on a message you will hear the name of its sender.
• When focusing on a group chat containing unread messages you will be notified if there are replies for you in this group.

• Improved Accessibility of posts containing several attached media. Previously, a signature for a post that contains more than one attached media could be accessed only with the aid of object navigation. Now this signature will be read directly after focusing on such post.
• Improved accessibility of posts containing polls. Now when focusing on such posts you will hear a number of people who have already voted as well as all answer options with a result for each option. And if you focus on a particular option you will hear the result for it..
• Improved accessibility of posts containing URLs. Now if a URL has a description, it will also be read out, that is, for example, if a post contains a URL for YouTube the name and description for this video will be read out right after the URL itself. Additionally, if a URL contains over 30 characters it will be abbreviated to make it easier to read the description that follows.
• Improved accessibility of inline queries results pannel. To navigate through the results of inline queries, use the following combinations: control+up and control+down.
• Added hotkeys for opening comments.

Version 2.2.0

• Added hotkeys for deleting messages or chats only for you as well as on both sides. This feature is associated with Unigram's interface language, that's why it may not work on some localizations. In settings you can select the type of notifications, text or sound.
• Added the possibility to indicate which interface language you use in Unigram in settings. It's required for getting the features associated with certain localizations to work correctly.
• Added hotkeys for opening the current chat profile.
• Now after closing a chat the focus will move to the chat list and not to the Open Navigation Menu button.

Version 2.1.0

• When switching between folders in the chat list the name of the current folder will be spoken.
• In the chat list you will hear the name of the chat followed by its type.
• The moving focus to the chat list feature has been modernized. Now it should work more accurately and without delay.
• Now the settings of the add-on have become even more flexible, for a section containing some options of UnigramPlus have appeared in NVDA preferences menu.

• Added a combination that switches the level of voicing indicators between values such as: "Announce all progress bars", "Announce all progress bars except voice message playback progress barAnnounce all progress bars except voice message playback progress bar" and "Do not announce any progress bars". For those users who have automatic media loading disabled in Unigram, you can set the value "Announce all progress bars except voice message playback progress barAnnounce all progress bars except voice message playback progress bar", and for those who have it enabled, it is better to set the value "Do not announce any progress bars".

Version 1.8.0

• When focused on the Open File button or Download File button the name and size of the file will be spoken, and when focused on the Play button on an audio file you will hear its name and duration.
• Added a combination to move focus to the message input field. If the focus is already in this field, then when you click, the focus will return to the last element that was in focus.
• The chat activity tracking feature is now enabled by double-tapping ALT + T. You can simply enable it, or enable it temporarily, until the next time you close the app.
• Also now added the ability to choose the type of notification for recording voice messages. This is done by double-pressing the control+d combination. There you can choose between an audio alert, a text alert, and you can also return the standard behavior when recording voice messages.

• The recording voice messages feature has been significantly modernized. Recording, sending voice message and recording cancellation are accompanied by distinctive sounds. Furthermore, while these functions are performed the focus stays in the same position and doesn't jump to the Record button nor to the edit field.
• A possibility of tracking the chat activity was added. This option can be enabled by pressing ALT+shift+T and it stays active until Unigram is closed or the next restart of NVDA.
• hotkeys that activate the More Options button now work in the voice chat window and the call window.

Version 1.6.0

• If media files attached to a message are opened by pressing space bar after closing them the cursor returns to where it was previously.
• Now you can return to the active voice chat not only from a current group but also from any other chat.
• By pressing ALT+shift+C in an open chat you will return to the voice chat instead of calling the contact.
• If a message is not sent you will be notified about this once this message is in focus.
• If a message in focus contains a link you will hear just the text of the link itself, not the entire message.
• Fixed an issue of not reporting the status change of such buttons as Turn microphone on/off and Turn camera on/off in private calls and voice chats.
• Now the message copying feature allows you to copy the contents of items in the quick view window of a post.

Version 1.5.0

This update adds a combination that press "Instant View" button in the message, if it contains one. By default, this function is activated by the ALT + Q combination. After opening such an article, the focus will automatically go to the first element of this article, and after closing, the focus will return to the last viewed message. We also fixed an issue where not all article elements in the Instant View Window were read, even if they contained text content.
